Gamepad mapping

This is quite simple; I want to be able to jump, aim up, etc in Turrican II using a button from my gamepad. If possible, how do I do it?, I'm lost here

You can't change the "Compatibility mode", choose "Configuration #1".

I'm not that uninformed, it's just that I don't know what to change

Map "Joy2 Up" to your desired "Jump" button.

Very strange, can you use the buttons 2-12 in other programs/games? The Pad is autodetect in Windows?

Nevermind the numbers, WinUAE won't display the real ones but they're easy to guess (first Button 1 = Button 1, second Button 1 = Button 2, etc). Now I have this problem with the joypad becoming completely useless, I can't move.

Tried the Swap 1<>2 button? The Pad has a mini-analogue stick? Probably this one is the default control, at least for my Logitech Dual Shock.

I tried both Joy1 and Joy2 for the axes but still no movement. The button thing is now working though, and yes, I have a mini-analogue stick.

And both, the digital pad & analogue stick aren't working? Only to be sure, can you post a shot from your current Input Configuration #1?

Which Pad is it? 4Axis? Have you tried another button for "Joy2 Up" as Jump, maybe button 2 or 3?

The halt occurs when a button is mapped to a movement (Joy2 up, down, left, right, etc).

Here's my pad.

Never seen this one before. But it is strange that the pad buttons aren't detected proper with the Button 0-11 in WinUAE. The "Joy2 Up" setup as "Jump" works fine for me. Do you installed a joypad software?

Have you tried to map "Joy2 Horizontal" & "Joy2 Vertical" to the Hat Switch (1) & (2)?

The latest official drivers are all I installed software-wise. And yes, I tried evey possible combination, but none will work as long as I have buttons mapped to movements

hobbe,

anyways if you want play turrrican you don't need touch nothing
leave default settings...(compatibility mode)
your joystick 1 button 1 will be fire and button 2 will be the super power
that's all
