original fate of atlantis ADFs?

I've grown tired of the random crashes with the whdload version . The only ADFs i've managed to dig up myself are cracked and won't even boot up past the screen that states they're cracked. So I'm looking for originals now .

EDIT
for those wondering, i didn't put this in the Requests for old rare games section, because i didn't think its something thats really all that rare.

I don't know about working ADFs, but PlanetEmu has a Hard Drive File with the game pre-installed that works great.

i've already got winuae set up to read some directorys as HDFs . Would rather not change that honestly. Assuming i can find the original ADFs i plan to do a clean install from them, to those directorys being read as HDFs then run the game from there.

Still a request though so moved

(Why it's called Old Rare Games I have no idea. I think just calling it req.Games would be better, personally...)

That would be great as (I could be wrong) the budget version ran well on an A1200 but.... doesn't it have some sort of protection...? (code from manual etc...)

I too would like the original disks as I have found the WDHLoad version to be a bit unpredictable.

Just remembered there are two versions of it, I have the graphic adventure.

Anyway I will try and dig it out tonight if its the one your after, will have to see if the disks even still work after such a long time, that and I have my stepson staying over tonight so I only have a time share with my toys.

I believe (and again I could be wrong) that the original version came with a code wheel protection which was not in the Klixx budget release - also the original version did not like to run on my A1200 but the re-released Klixx budget version ran fine - I just cant remember if the Klixx version had any copy protection...

There is no difference in game play at all and yes it's the Graphic Aventure I am talikng about also.

Well if there is manual copy protection then i would suggest bobbing over to hol and grabbing the manual. Lets see if I can find the bugger first then if the disks read ok.

You could temporarily mount the hdf that Ricky500 suggested and copy the indy drawer to your setup.

In order to get Fate of Atlantis running on an A1200 - hold down both mouse buttons when you start the machine and then change the graphics mode to OCS instead of AGA - it should play fine then.

I have never had any problems with whd version.
Have you tried the newest v1.4 slave ?

Check the zone for non cracked adfs.

Going to try V1.4, thanks for the heads up - I was using V1.3 - I hope V1.4 is better at loading saved games - getting pretty fed up of re-starting the game from the very beginning.

Still like to know if anyone can point me in the right direction of the best known floppy version as I may just have to try and do a clean install one of these days...

I had some time ago problems with Fate of Atlantis, and all was fixed changing the size of the screen.
