Amiga died when Commodore fucked it up and went to the wall.
The current is very good at making headlines and lots of press releases, but it is just as incompetent as it's other owners. Rejoice at the .8 upgrade over the last years in the OS...load of shite, nothing new. The current situation reminds me of when Amstrad took over the ZX Spectrum and all those crappy machines came out. If I was to be brutally honest, the Amiga has been on life support for a long time, and now the switch should be flicked to let it die. |

But this was before Collas left, and before Bill McEwen decided to join forces with TAO.
Why you asked us to look at it? |

Bill McEwen and everyone at Amiga Inc today have one simple mission: to screw every gullible Amigan up their ass.

... And it's really sad to see the optomistic grab their ankles and whistle a happy tune. The behavior of every Amiga, Inc represenative has been poor, often engaging in flamewars on various Amiga newsgroups, shutting down sites where their copyrights were not being violated in the least, etc.
Ugh. My blood pressure raises every time I think about the way Amiga, Inc runs their company, and who they hire as liaisons. If those bozos are hired by Microsoft after Amiga crashes and burns, prepare to learn Linux. |

Oddly enough, Gary Peake and his merry band of sitebagging thugs have been strangely silent of late. A few months ago, I was having a knockdown/dragout with Mr. Peake and his Clueless Crusade Clan on quite a few newsgroups, now he rarely pokes his head in the groups anymore. The only perceivable reason for this could be something "big" is happening at Amiga. (A myriad of possibilities- The pending release of the AmigaOne paperweight, Gary actually doing his job and is working with developers, or he finally got it through his fat head that engaging in flamewars on a public forum is a terrible idea).
Oh, well. I don't miss him. |

I suppose tehy are silent because they have filled tehir pockets with enough cash for now. Whenever they need more cash, they'll 'make' OS3.91
And so on. |

Silent in the Newsgroups, Amigaboy. I am not interested in their masturbations on their own site. Did you bother reading my post to put Akira's in context, or did you disqualify it simply because I wrote it, or because it wasn't a "Soundbite" (Read: annoyingly spaced and short) post? Not that I'd be angry about either, but your message seems out of sorts, as it were.
