A3000 and no signal with lcd

Recently I came across A3000 and try to test it .
I connected my LCD which is Samsung SyncMaster 173p through VGA but it seems that there is no signal, screen stays black.
Don't know but it's about refreshing frequencies ?

Anyone using LCD's with A3000 ?

Cheers.

Most LCD monitors do not support an incoming signal with a vertical refresh rate of 50Hz (PAL).

You need to switch the Amiga to 60Hz (NTSC).

If you have REAL KS3.1 you can do this by holding down both mouse buttons on power on or after a reset and press space bar.

Otherwise you'll have to use an Amiga monitor or an A520 + TV to setup the default workbench screen mode to be NTSC.

Alexh said it all.

LCD have problems operating at less than 60hz. Very few are capable.

Only Indivision is fully compatible with LCD. If you use (have) a CRT your problems are solved.

It will take 30 seconds to switch to NTSC screen mode (60Hz) and everything will spark into life.
