The answer is Amirc

However since the license key is no longer comercialy available & VAPOURWARE owners have not been answering e-mail or other enquiries then sadly your left only with option of buying or "borrowing" someone elses keyfile

Unless some enlightened member has miraculously found an alternative that is ???

You could also check out Wookiechat.

Not as good as amirc, but gets the job done quite nicelly and it's freeware.

Currently it would NOT be officialy adviseable for this site to "ZONE" a keyfiled copy of Amirc.

@Woody
I'm a great believer in registering Amiga software, even if the authors are no longer developing it but are still accepting payment. However, it's the same dilemma that people who wanted to register Miami were in until the Amiga Keyring decided to host the keyfiles (and after repeated requests were fulfilled on EAB). Great pity since the free IRC clients available aren't a patch on AmIRC.

As you rightly point out DrBong the Amiga Keyring Site is currently filling the need over the programmes you mention.

And since Lopos2000 & myself run that site this is the reason we have spent six months trying to track not just AmIRC but OTHER Vapourware software current registration owners

Obviously NONE of these files could legimately be hosted by RCK's abime.net as that is policey

BUT DO NOT BE SUPRISED if the Amiga Keyring site annouces some updates SOON

Yes, AMIrc is really outdated !

I use Wookie on all my Systems (OS4, 68k, PPC Classic) and it´s great
