@Srdjan
As you know I have the Indi aga. I had to use two rom risers, I was told I may need 4 but with four on I find the keyboard will not sit down. Anyway two does the job....this is what I did... with Fast ata in hand I placed riser over the round rom pins, at first it tends to want to spring back on one side, and if you push down on other side and try to compensate then the first side pops up, this happened on all four sides, I tried to push down with equal pressure on all sides at the same time and this is the is the major key move. The surface of the rom riser must be more or less flush the surface of the Fast ata, so I used a length of square bar (thread file) and with the fastata on the edge the bench so the bench was only making contact with top of the roms I was able to press with equal pressure on all sides, then the risers were close and pretty tight on the pins, this made good contact, bearing in mind this is a sensitive operation because of the fragility of the riser pins and they bend sooooooo easy, you would be putting pretty much a good bit of heavyweight pressure very close the pins and one slip of the bar would destroy the riser pins, but I got the risers to go home and was lucky. If your risers are being stubborn and still pop up then they are not home all the way which is crucial. |
