Hello this is B2k_ad

Hello! Finally i found the right Place Introduce myself.
I started with a Question two days or so ago..... rude.
But i got promt Help Thankyou.

However My name is Florian im born in the mid 80ties.
My first Computer was a IBM 286... yes a real IBM... i still own its 20MB d: hard drive.
I got rid of it quite fast... it was somehow fun... but not for long.

In 1995 or 1996 i got an 500 with staggering 2Meg fastram and a Kickstart switch from 1.3 to 2.04.
Then there was an 1200 with an 030 Turbo board.
My brother threw that one away 4 years ago... He thought it was an old PC, because it was built in to a Infinity tower
He left my 600 and my 2000.
Having moved out from my parents Home ten years ago, 4Years ago i got my remaining Amigas out there... to save them.
I started getting my A600 to work, I spend several Days to repair my Keyboard ribbon cable with silver conductive Paint, the old pads where completly gone.
After i finally figuered how to Write Amiga Floppys with an old PC of mine the df0 in the 600 died.

http://m1web.de/ADTWin/
ADT-Win nice Tool for creating Floppies with your Parallel Port.
After that I got myself a gotek for the 600.

The 2000 was a different Story.... it could fill a book..... To make it short as a Kid i never new what i had, I didn't own a Keyboard for it and it took me quite some time to understand that you could not use a PC Keyboard. The Golem HDD Controller in it would not Work with the 2630Card it had... in a strange way it would only boot if you deactivate the 4 Meg of Ram on it.
In the end the Battery leakage did the rest.
I found the rev.6 scematics online and started soldering (they can confuse you if you have an rev4.3 board). Then i went nuts and wanted an Graphics Board for it.
With the Pricetag on theese it is quite sutpid .... but anyway I found an CV64/3D.
One has a very hard time learning all of this, in many ways Workbench is easy but then again it's not!
for instance:
Installing Cybervision:
Using the installer.... everytihng is great.... but at the end:
"Cybergraph wil not work without Enforcer you have to install it, you can find it on Aminet"
What the **** is Enforcer .... another day of reading.
BTW i needed to replace my 68030 ... my MMU was broken(!)
It nearly got me to Insanity.

This Board provided some great help and info, also Dave Haynies Website... (cant remember its adress) *edit:http://www.thule.no/haynie/sytems* The BBoAH and Amiga resource cx also where very helpfull.

*edit* irrelevant

But anyway i have the strong feeling the English Amiga Community is somewhat big.
Last but not Least: Since im writng this on my A2000, i got some problems finding the right character set i m missing theese for instance ___it s___ you see? I will go over the text with my pc tomorrow.
But for Now: thank you for reading!

I hope you can stand my misspelling.

already gone over it...

Welcome B2k_ad and you're forgiven for your post text being so unformatted, because you're using your A2000 and that's really cool
