Hi, but it worked fine on my real amiga. I used the same adf files on the gotek. It is strange.

You used 100% same config (same patches/roms etc) for WinUAE and for your real Amiga? If yes, then it must be bug in WinUAE or in Installer recognition code.

I installed AmigaOS 3.1.4 on FS-UAE emulating my own A600. Everything works fine during installation.

Hi, yes. I buned the rom for the real A1200 and I used the kickrom file from Hyperion on the winuae. I emulated on winuae an A1200 standard with 8mb ram, that's it.

Hi, it was definitively a BUG. Fs-UAE no problem. I was on WinUae 3.6.0. Upgraded to the last 4.0.1 and all goes OK.

At DoobreyNet you can find new versions of Remus and RomSplit which support the 2nd revision of Kick 3.1.4 with copyright change by Hyperion.

I am wondering what we can put in a custom rom for 3.1.4 other then the obvius intuition 45. I will try to use the old miflo's guide for 1Mb rom (it worked fine for me for the 3.9 rom) but still I don't know what can be useful to have in that rom.

You can put a romdisk (.rodi files are supported by Remus since some time), a compactflash.device (unfortunately, it's not bootable), certain updates from DonAdan for components not updated in 3.1.4 (http://wt.exotica.org.uk/test.html - just avoid dos.library, ramlib, wbfind/icfind are probably also inferior to OS 3.1.4 icon/workbench loading modules), one of the alternative romboot modules...

With Remus is so simple to assemble your file rom:

- choose a Normal 512k rom
- for the contents insert first "exec"
- then you can insert all the libs and device in alphabetical order
- click on Compile and your rom file is ready.

Latest I have is 40.5. Yes, it asks for ENV - fortunately, I boot without Startup-Sequence in emergency situations only.

I use 1.8 too, it's loaded into my kickflash. Just boot with no startup-sequence and it will annoy you with the requester.

I have a ROMable HappyENV. Works like a charm.

Ah, I forgot about it or at least can't remember. I haven't tried but maybe env-handler can be loaded as resident module what should also fix it.

Maybe KingCon can be altered / patched that it does not access ENV: when it is the initial CLI.
