EAB Games League Season 1 Round 4 - Turrican 2
At last, it's...
Turrican 2 The rules for this competition are in this thread. Here's a quick run-down though: - The round starts at 12:00am UK time on Monday, July 23, and finishes at 11:59pm UK time on Saturday, August 11. - Scores can only be posted during the time of the round, any scores posted outside of this period won't count. - You can play on a real Amiga or an emulator, whatever you prefer. - If you can, take screenshots or use a digital camera/mobile phone to provide proof of your score, however if you are unable to do this then you can upload your high-score file as confirmation. You should also write your score in your post. - Anyone can enter at any time, and you can post as many scores as you want during the round. Of course, only your highest score will count towards the final standings. - Between July 28 and August 3 the voting will take place for the fifth round's game, a thread containing details will be created nearer the time. - At the end of the round, the player with the highest score gets 12 points, 2nd place gets 10, 3rd 8, 4th 7, 5th 6, 6th 5, 7th 4, 8th 3, 9th 2 and 10th 1 (assuming that many people take part). - No cheating! No using save states, cheat codes, trainers or anything like that, and no modifying scores in any way. This competition is just a bit of fun and hopefully no-one will sink that low. However, if you genuinely suspect someone has cheated in any way, please PM me and I'll look into it. If I find someone guilty of cheating, they will be banned from the league for the entire season. - Continues are not allowed, as stated in the rules. I think that's it. If you have any questions, you can either post them in this thread or in the Rules thread. Thanks and have fun! Final Scores: 1. farmarfred - 7,462,000 2. VermillioN - 5,200,100 3. Magno Boots - 3,109,700 4. blade002 - 3,005,700 5. mailman - 2,893,500 6. turrican3 - 2,677,900 7. Konrad - 1,148,300 8. lilalurl - 445,800 9. bubblegirl - 169,800 10. cadaver - 166,900 11. Graham Humphrey - 56,400 Last edited by Graham Humphrey; 12 August 2007 at 01:00. |

I have never understood popularity of this game. Many implemented features are so much out of place that the game is barely enjoyable. Last edited by mailman; 01 March 2009 at 21:19. |

This is one of my favourite games on any platform..
Always a joy to play imo, in fact I run through it at least once a year out of pure love .. lol.. I have my first high score, and possibly my last. I shall withhold it for now.. wouldn't want to scare players away.. in the meantime I'll play with my new picasso IV instead |

I don't get such attitude. Every score is worth posting a screenshot. No matter how low or high you are, you will get some scores in overall standings. Look at me. I have never won a round and I am runner up in the season.

You have hit the nail on the head with that post. I would say to everyone who has a shot at this: even if your score isn't that good (like mine) it's well worth posting it because it could get you some points for the round. And anyway what's the point of playing if ultimately you're not going to enter?

Rarely managed to go beyond the shmups levels in my intense amiga days (except with a trained version ofc) and didn't manage either tonight. I guess that will be the challenge for me if I really want to improve my score (I hope I'll get some free time to do some training). |

Blimey, we've already matched the total number of entrants for Apidya (six) in the space of three days
I must do better than 30,800... I am getting better though - earlier I got a magnificent... 40,000 (ish). |

The game is not finished yet. Did you play for the playsure or did you play for the higher score ??? Really great score, it's impressive. ps this amiga versio is the best so far, do you agree with this ?? (on any other platformm) Last edited by turrican3; 26 July 2007 at 01:19. |

That's unfortunate your game freezed - however your score does count as it's clearly showing in the top-right corner.
Maybe you should try the WHDLoad version? (If you can bring yourself to play it again) |
