Automatic resize ignores vert. size setting
I was testing the half-integer scaling factors. You can achieve a "perfect" NTSC aspect ratio by setting H scaling to 3× or 1.5× (for Lores or Hires respectively) and V scaling to 3.5× with line mode set to Single.
[By the way, is there any chance to have n.25/n.75 scale presets too? For SuperHires you'd want to use 0.75× horizontal, and for interlaced or double line mode, 1.75× vertical.] I noticed that Automatic resize in Filter settings only seems to work correctly for horizontal resizing. When Automatic resize is selected it ignores the vertical scaling factor. |

Thanks for that.
I'm probably missing something, but what I'd like to happen, is when I set (say) 1/8 integer scaling (with aspect ratio correction disabled), for the horizontal and vertical scale factors to be independent. At the moment it seems the same scale factor is used for both H & V, meaning I can't get the display to be sized to 1.5×H and 1.75×V just by resizing the emulation window. |

But what about aspect ratio? "Integer" scaling is supposed to keep it.

Ah.
There is only 1/4 option in the Horiz. size & Vert. size drop-down boxes, no way to select (e.g.) 1.75. What I'd like to be able to do, is have display scaling set to the largest "nice" rational ratio which fits into the current window size, but with the ability to unlock aspect ratio so the h. and v. ratios are independent. And ideally, an option to have the window size snap back so there aren't any black borders (showing the full Amiga overscan image). Oh, and yet another wish-list item: show the new scaling factors in the window statusbar for a couple of seconds after resizing. |
