Enhancer Software OS3
For the last few days of work, our developer, after many hours of hard work has succeeded in converting the ProgressBar Gadget Class from the Enhancer Software OS4 version to the forthcoming OS3 version
8-bit support had to be added and as a result, the code can also be reused in the OS4 version for rare occasions when 8-bit screens are used. Next to update our Format command to remove support for the old FuelGauge.gadget and add the new ProgressBar.gadget. The Enhancer Software for OS3 is 4-6 months behind the OS4 version but things are starting to progress now. We have already ported a new program called RequestChooser, which is an advanced replacement for the old RequestChoice. It supports images and header/footer text as well as scrollable text body. We have used it in the EULA on the Enhancer Software Install. Here is an image of it taken from the OS3 version (screenshot taken from my A1200): Here is a nice picture of OS3 version of ClipViewer running on my Amiga 1200 which is also a part of the Enhancer Software: New Information Window Class for OS3: The brand new tickbox.gadget for OS3 that replaces the old checkbox.gadget in our projects: New Select Gadget work nearly completed for Enhancer Software OS3: Last edited by amigakit.com; 13 August 2016 at 15:11. |

Great News! Looking forward to it on OS3.x
With the new accelerators coming out for Classic Machines, it seems they have quite a bit of life left. Having an updated software stack is a must. |

Indeed. I remember Amigakit mentioning AmigaStore was running at a crawl on his A1200, but the massive amount (in amiga terms) of Vampire users, there is a viable customerbase for new/updated AOS3.x/AROS software.

Take it as a joke, but I don't see why you make the Installer using the program you are going to install
When will this be available? Cost? I think you should release it as freeware, as it will surely be necessary to use another program that also should be freeware like AMIStore, but from then on you'll get benefits. Last edited by Retrofan; 12 May 2016 at 01:09. |

I will not pay for gadgetclass(es). If some software needs those classes it has to provide them.

@Cylon
Just as well you don't have to then. If software is written that needs them, it's up to the software developer to licence them for inclusion. Which in reality means most people writing free software will simply ignore them. |

So the best way would have been to upload the new classes to aminet for everybody free to download and <try> to sell the enhancer package (using those classes)?

Probably. At least then you might get more people using them in new software. As it is I can't imagine too many developers bothering with them unless they're selling their software.

New version of ProgressBar.gadget now completed with CLUT/ARGB support for OS4 and OS3.
In addition to regular ECS/AGA, it is now working great on my 16-bit / 32-bit screenmode on my A1200 with Mediator/Radeon 9250: |

I am pleased to confirm that the Information Window Class from OS4 has now been ported to OS3. This will be included in the forthcoming Enhancer Software OS3 package.
Here are the pics running on my Amiga 1200: |

As far as I can remember I used this font some 15-17 years ago and it was included on an Amiga Format CD. Or CU Amiga.

Nice 3.0 Workbench OS. Do you have a screenshot and Screen Mode Settings?
Also doesn't Installer use a progress bar when copying? |

I use Amiga Theme Experience on my A1200 which gives OS3 a look similar to OS4. The font I use is Super Sans Serif/13

I suspect these are classes that require Reaction, and hence only work with OS3.9/68020+.
(and for what it is worth... I don't think they look so good, with no spacing between buttons and window border) |

@kolla
Hi, Yes these classes are reliant on other classes which are ClassAct compatible. We are in the process of creating a brand new set of classes now. Currently working on tickbox.gadget to replace checkbox.gadget and that is almost completed on OS3. This class is using the H&P window.class from OS3.9 so we do not have access to the source code for that. We will be looking into other solutions. The InfoWindow Class Wiki page has now been updated for OS3: http://wiki.amiga.org/index.php?title=InfoWindow_Class |
