Mafdet and Book of the Dead (Trying to figure out what to do)

Loaded up this awful game for the first time in my life today.

Has anyone played it before?

I haven't been able to make much progress in the game. Can't find a manual for the game either. But I have figured out that you can press SPACE to transform to a cat.

I got to a cave section stuck with a scorpion. Now what??

I think there is no way out of the scorpion cave unless one or more of the artifacts on the left have been collected. Having possession of the correct artifact(s) buys passage on the boat. Search caves on the other side of river until a scroll is found. This teleports you to a darkened room. Exit the dark room and reappear at the beginning cat idol. A message "the gods are pleased. well done!" appears. The game starts over so this must be a demo or the shortest game I've ever seen.

Nice to hear that I'm not the only one who have played this game

Thanks for the help. But I still don't get it. How do I get to the other side of the river?

I have uploaded a video to youtube showing my progress. Can you point to the right direction from there please?

OK. Looking at your video here is the trouble. After entering the first building and dropping down a level there is a door between two chasms on the right. Be sure to enter the side doors and collect all the artifacts first. This is done by standing in front of a door and pressing the E key. Explore the scorpion caves the same way and eventually you'll reach the boat. I had to transform into a cat to board. The body of water next to the cat idol at the start makes me think that I wasn't clear about the river. It is underground! Also do the E key thing at the cat idol after the scroll is recovered.

Code:
Keys:
Help - gives a message
Del - restart game
E - exit room
Space - transform from human to cat and back. Costs one life per invocation.

Thank you very much for the help.

Did not know you could go through doors.

I managed to finish the game in two minutes by just running with the cat

I might try The Eye Of Horus soon. That seems very similar to this game.

That 'game' got 48% in one magazine Certainly the dullest game I've seen in a long time...

Just did and I failed on this one too...

I used a walkthrough for the PC version. Either the PC version is different (I don't think so) or else I must have missed something.

If anyone know what to do.. then please let me know

It looks like Mafdet is taking YouTube by storm. Anyway it turns out I have an old PDF from underdogs about Horus. There is a map that shows five pieces of the King's body but the manual on HOL says seven. I must have used that PDF while playing the Commodore 64 version because I don't have the PC version and didn't get Amiga IPFs 'til years later. The basic objective is to recover all the King's body parts and reassemble them with the Amulet of Tet I think. After that destroy Set. Saying that and doing it is another thing. I don't think this game will just roll over like Mafdet.

EDIT: I've just read the text of underdogs PDF and it says seven body parts too. That means the map was just not complete.

EDIT2: After a little more digging it appears that the PDF is nothing more than the maps on Sprint Docs 4 and the manual on Sprint Docs 16 so they should be usable for Amiga.

I see one mistake around 15:20 in the Horus video. The heart amulet was invoked and summoned Isis needlessly. There were only a few steps to go to reach the burial vault and the King's head would have been dropped off on its own. The amulet should have been saved for a far away chamber where more than one body part is. That would save an entire trip to the vault and back again and a lot less danger.
