Running a BBS thru WinUAE question

I am running an Amiga based bbs thru emulation with Winuae temporarily until I get everything going to I can access it thru remote desktop to work on it. Going to move it over to my 1200 when I am thru getting it set up.

I am trying to set up fidonet using amibinkd. I have been using this same script with my 1200 and another bbs package and it works fine there.

When the script tries to poll my boss to pick up mail, it fails saying unknown host when calling the bosses site by name.. for example bbshost.com. Tried
using the ip address and this fails also.

I have the bbs accepting calls with telnetd fine.

Do I have to install something like amitcp or miami to make this work?

Since you are using an Emulator just use the Windows binkd temporarily and have that poll your boss. That is the route I am going to take except I will be using Argus..
