@amenophis It seems the limited edition stuff is going well, presumably because thats the stuff worth some extra bucks on ebay (20 year anniversary playstation 4 anyone? )
Maybe you should add a few more specials for the remainder of the campaign? (Dave Haynie edition? :-) etc... I pledged for a single case but might be tempted to pledge som more for some tasty exclusive ;-) |

Any chance of adding case scews to the 79€ pledge... I've seen a good few cases ruined with wrong sized ones being used. Motherboard ones would be useful as well

I'm just deciding what to do at the moment, as I've got a price in USD for the items, but no idea how much the import fees etc are going to cost. I normal get most of my retro items from within EU, how bad are the import fees, any idea ? |

Get kipper2k to write gift on the customs document and put the value including postage at £36. And you'll pay nothing.
If he doesn't and puts the full price on invoice (for insurance) everything over £15 including postage you *may* have to pay VAT(20%). No duty on electronics |

Just FYI I recently received two external CF adapters from Kipper2k in NL and didn't have to pay any additional taxes. Maybe I was just lucky.

After a decent start this seems to be slowing down to the point that I doubt it'll make its goal. Kicktraq is suggesting 77% at the moment. Shame. I wonder what plan B will be?

I don't think there's a plan B unless they release the 3D files even if it doesn't get fully funded, to see if anybody wants to have a go, or 3D print (yuck) a case themselves.

In the last nine days they've only hit the required number of daily backers once. Down to 72% now. I guess it's a matter of getting word out there, but only a niche of active a1200 users will be willing to buy a (relatively expensive) new case, so you're after a niche of a niche market! Longer kickstarter campaign required methinks.

longer kickstarter campaign wouldn't drag in more attention or backers. community shrinks every year and the few who are active and interested can't fund bigger projects.
double or triple the price would drive them away. this campaign addresses those who want a replacement for yellowed or scratched/broken/"full of holes like swiss cheese" cases, that is a small group who already backed it. tough times for projects of this size. |

Thanks for you point of you. I may differ a bit. This campaign is for those would like to see new casings coming out for their Amiga. Not only for the broken ones. This campaign will also give us the chance on new keyboard and new key caps. So everybody who's willing to have a chance of new casings and keyboards should support themselves by pledging (if they can of course). We had feedback from our keyboard manufacturer, things look good for the moment. And i really hope we can make it because there is so much involved. (We never thought that this campaign for new cases would raise so many comments by the way |

Well, I backed it for two cases in the original color. One as a replacement for my A1200, one for the upcoming Amiga Reloaded motherboard...
Hope it works out! It is most likely the last chance to get a fully working NEW classic Amiga... |

I'm really excited about this project and have pledged for my case. I love the idea of new keyboards being produced as well, new ones are £130 GBP on eBay!
Unfortunately, it looks like its going to be extremely close in terms of funding and I fear it may not make it, a real shame. I would pledge more if I could afford it but the Amiga is an expensive hobby these days |
