Have just received a survey from KS to update my shipping address (I pledged the physical boxed copy of Starquake), so release must be imminent!
Can't wait!

Wait what? You're kidding right? This is not funny!

I either missed a KS campaign (Nooooooo!) or there is no KS campaign (Noooooo!)

I'm sad now.

No kidding, physical Starquake was a (limited) perk for The story of the Commodore Amiga in pixels campaign!

Last week I've finally received the book, but unfortunately Starquake was missing from the packet: according to Chris Wilkins game's still in final stages of testing...

Played Starquake so much on the C64 back in the late 80's, that it caused me to dream I was in it!

Awesome video game, only I could never find that last piece!

One of the teleport codes on the c64 version is "AMIGA" One of the best games on the 8bits. The ST version was a faithfull conversion so I hope the wait for the amiga port will not last too long.... hint hint

No no, you should release it like a true 'modern AAA developer':
  • Release it with a bunch of bugs rendering the game unplayable.
  • Add a 'day-one' patch with the game to fix some of those bugs.
  • Continue releasing patches over the next six months or so until the game does work.
  • Leave out 1/4 of the levels randomly taken from somewhere in the middle of the game.
  • Sell said levels separately for 1/2 of the cost of the original game.
  • After say a year or so, release a patch which radically changes the game's core mechanics and adds 'micro transactions' and 'pay to win' mechanics.
  • Add a competitive multiplayer mode, even if it's completely pointless and detracts from the main game.
  • And last, but not least, add in cosmetic 'DLC' which changes the look of the player character slightly. Be sure to charge at least €1 for each new sprite so altered.

Do these things and you should sell a couple of million copies

Trivial aside.

I live in the former BubbleBus office. My living room is the old coders den and the duplicating room is roughly where the duplicating/despatch room was.

And if you really want to release it as an AAA game make the QUAKE teleport pay to use

I'm thinking of putting in totally unecessary loot boxes, so people can pay £40.00 for them and thus have an unfair advantage over other players that play the old skool way.
