Burned ISO. on Commodore CDTV

Hi guys, i've just bought a commodore cdtv system recently, i'm wondering if is it possible to play burned iso cds for the cdtv or the system won't recognize burned copys. I'm new to this so need some help. Thanks

I seem to recall so called AUDIO CD-Rs work better to and maybe if you burn them in slow speed. The audio CDRs are meant to work better in old CD players like those found in many cards. (And CDTV.)

First try a good quality Branded CDR Verbatim, Sony, Taio Yuden and burn the disc slow 2 or 4 speed! even try some cheap no brand ones you should eventually find one that the CDTV will read.

If you can try discs from many different manufacturers as old systems like the CDTV have lasers that will probably only like certain types of dye formulations.

I know Verbatims Dark Blue AZO dye worked well on many old consoles including the CD32!

Most important more info.
How exactly are you burning these iso's?

Are the iso's ok, you could try them im WinUAE under CDTV config.
Generally if they dont work there then there is something wrong with iso.

Does it just go straight to CDTV logo or CD Player?

Don't know about the NTSC CDTV I obtained a few days ago, but my CD32 has had no issues reading burnt CD-R discs. I guess re-writable discs wouldn't work though.

Nope, re-writable would never work unless they are closed correctly.
