Problem with El Egg Tronic Quartz demo (Quadlite, 1988) (A500, OCS)

ftp://ftp.amigascne.org/pub/amiga/Groups/Q/Quadlite/QUADLITE-Eleggtronicquartz.dms When testing the demo with old WinUae version 1.4.5 (2007) , it continues loading and runs fine after pressing the left mouse button. After the first intro screen is loaded and shown, pressing the left mouse button should begin loading the slideshow. But the diskdrive keeps stuck at track 40. Running this disk-image with WinUAE version 1.4.5 (not enclosed) gives NOT this problem and the loading of the slideshow continues and runs as it should. I made a savestate after running the demo with WinUAE version 1.4.5 right after the loading finished , and loaded this savestate file back into the latest beta (2.3.1). Now the slideshow is shown correctly. Logfile and savestate files are included. WinUAE version 1.4.5 I cannot include because it exceeds my upload quota on this site. |

I can confirm it breaks between the dev of 2.20 and 2.30 final, I have no access to those beta's myself and only the finals but here's 2 sets of log files, 1 that works un 2.2.0 and on that dies on 2.3.0
Ran in standard default quicklaunch a500 mode..No fancy stuff... Last edited by Mclane; 14 March 2016 at 10:54. |

It is confirmed broken but this time there is no need to find exact broken version because part of disk emulation has been rewritten.

Just tried in beta 12 with same problem as before. Not asking for a fix just an info update. |

Will wait until 2.3.1 is out. Disk emulation changes are too risky at this point.

Thank you very much Toni for improving disk wordsync bit timing, so this demo works well again with Winuae version 2.3.2 beta 1. Also all graphic-corruption seems gone for all the loaded pictures of the slideshow. Impressive !
