Best horizontal shoot-em-up - final

Okay, now we're down to the final five games. You get the drill by now I'm sure - vote for your favourite game on the list (it might not be your fave full stop, but that shouldn't stop anyone from voting). This poll runs for a week once again, and the winner is crowned.... well, EAB's favourite shooter I guess.

Get voting then people!

EDIT: Sticky please, someone? I'm really sorry, I'll stop requesting this one day

R-TYPE!?!?!?!? on the AMIGA!?!?!??!?! in the LEAD!?!?!?!??!?!?

YOU HAVE GOT TO BE F*CKING JOKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THE WORST CONVERSION IN THE HISTORY OF CONVERSION!!!!! GRRRRRR

surely its a mistake.... surely its in error.... surely theres some poll rigging....

I spent more than a thirdworld countrys national debt on this game in the arcades.... when it came out for the amiga i was so excited i actualy pre-ordered and got the game the day of release I rushed home slapped it in...

bah!.... its NOT the arcade game and from that its crap!!!!! it was an ass-nasty ST port in my opinion!!!

How the hell it could win anything other than the worst converted coin-op game i seriously dont know....

I was playing Project-X through many hours the last week till I completed it without cheats, and then I even tried out Project-X SE (...and was more than a little surprised when I found out that they cut out almost half of the original game in the revised edition).

I think it's a remarkable game.

But I still voted for Apidya.

R-Type for Amiga wasn't as good as it could have been.Arcade version is one of the best shooters ever made so a real shame that they didn't achieve a better conversion.

Apidya vote from me

I went for Apidya as well... Project-X would've got my vote had the Special Edition made it through rather than the original. Never mind, eh?

I thought the R-Type conversions were decent myself. I also thought that Project X was pretty, but repetitive and frustrating.

Apidya all the way guys. It oodles fun, creativity and originality.

Project-X gets my vote once again, though Apidya could possibly be a game I consider better (but I haven't played it enough to know).

I was amazed that R-Type made it to the finals, considering what utter crap of a port it is (please do note that I say port, not the game in itself). The fact that it has recieved three votes makes me faint. It can't possibly be. Someone is joking. Seriously. But... to be honest: generally speaking, I think that a good game is a good game if someone consider it being a good game... but when it comes to the R-Type conversion, there is no such thing as quality involved. What.so.ever. The definition of 'something went wrong'. Yes. True. Fact. And so on. I can't even see it standing on its own two legs not taking the 'port-aspects' into consideration. It sends me shivers down my spine, those ugly feeling ones... yes.

Sorry!
