Where can I sent my original game disks to be preserved???

I remember I was talking to some caps members long ago about some originals I have (and there was a high interest for some) but I could not make good images because of the AmigaTech 1200 I have...
So.... can I just sent 'em to a CAPS member to be preserved properly?
(I'll donate them, I really do not have any use for them, whdload is what I use only, so after dumping perhaps I can re-use them there...)
Ofcourse I can re-make a list of the disks I have

I think the most important thing is to make sure that whoever gets the disks is both able and willing to dump them for CAPS, if we're going to make sure that they are preserved (assuming that they meet CAPS requirements). I expect you could probably find lots of folks willing to take them just so they could have them, but the price should certainly be that they would go to the effort of making and submitting the dumps. Just my 2 cents, of course.

I would suggest that you write a private message to either IFW or Fiath directing them to this thread, that would get you the answer you need.

the reason these requests can take time to answer is because we get given a list that's not recently been checked against the release list so we have to sort them out.

from this list, these are of interest:

Phalanx (c)1987 Kingsoft ANCO
Hydra (c) Domark Software Ltd 1991 TENGEN 2DISKS
Unmarked Disk on a white envelope with Printed VOLLVERSION! Spirit of Adventure (c)Media Verlagsgesellschaft
Under Pressure (c)1991 Electronic Zoo
CEDRIC (c)Neo 1995 6DISKS (german?)
StarControl(c)1990 Accolade Inc 2DISKS
Missiles Over Xerion (c)1994 by Cycletech/Kingsoft 2DISKS
mbH 2DISKS

the one labelled RA SLB66 is the product number, what's the actual game called?

the 2 capcom ones are already released, they *may* be different versions, but they are a low priority and it's really down to you if you'd want the expense of sending them.

if you'd like to donate those, then of course we're happy to receive them, in any instance they'd have to be sent to the UK. if you wish to do this, please email the contrib@softpres.org address to arrange it.

thanks!

As a general comment, many of us who have contributed dumps to CAPS in the past would probably be willing to take possession and do the dumps for anything that CAPS wanted, but from a practical point of view it is always a lot simpler if you can find someone in the same part of the world you're in, since that keeps shipping costs low and reduces the chances of the disks being lost or damaged in transit. Being in Kansas City, I was pretty sure that someone closer to you than I would probably be willing to take them, or I'd have offered to do so myself. I know I've seen at least one other EAB member from Greece before, but whether or not they could dump the disks I couldn't begin to guess.

I have been emailed by the SPS team, and I'll send 'em to UK , which is nice
And the RA SLB66 is actually the game named "RA" from rainbow arts...
