Disk Label Dimensions

Anyone have the exact dimensions of those labels that wrap around the front and back of the disk...

I think the "face" only labels are 70 x 50 mm and I am guessing the wrap ones are 70 x 70mm ? Anyone got one they can measure?

I fancy some nice labels for a few floppies that I want to keep for a genuine disk use/feel, rather than 100% Gotek use...

The measurement I get is 70mm wide x 75mm long, the extra 5mm length being the foldover at the top of the disk.

Hmm, different to mine. Mine is 75mm, just checked again. Maybe those don't wrap over the disk? I was measuring a label that's already on a disk though. I'm pretty sure I have at least a couple unused ones somewhere, just can't find them at the moment. If/when I do I will measure again.

I had a period when I was printing some labels for my collection and now when I look at the template I used dimensions are 70x71

I used to have a system for typing out labels that would go over the top of the disk, opposite to the metal shutter, of course, but it meant that whilst it was awkward to put the labels on, it was easy to see them from a full disk box, so you could find the right disk easily and quickly. I would even colour-code them for what types of files they contained.

When it comes to putting labels on floppy disks, there are parts on the sides where the write-protect and high-density sliders are, and do NOT put the label over those. The label area is obvious.
