Jerry will not work with any USB mouse, only the ones that supports the PS/2 protocol.
For proper USB HID support, you could get the Tom or Rys MkII instead. http://www.ebay.com/itm/TOM2-USB-Mou...T/172007029169 http://retro.7-bit.pl/?lang=en&go=pr...&name=rys_mkii The Tom will even work with a C64 so you can use a wireless laser mouse in GEOS. In my experience, most of the cheaper wired mice supports PS/2. Trust me, when you start messing with WHDLoad, you'll quickly use up 1GB. If you got a way to connect the HDD to your PC, I would suggest to create an image of it, mount the image in WinUAE, transfer all your stuff and then write that image back to the drive. It will be the fastest way. Mounting the HDD directly in WinUAE is possible but due to all the small files, it will take forever to transfer stuff. |

You could also make an adapter. This is for the BBC Acorn, but the principle should be the same.

I'll add that, having received a Jerry+ a few weeks ago, I haven't yet gotten one of my mice to work with it (also trying on an A1000, not sure if that's effecting it in any way). For ease of mind, you may as well opt for a Tom, or a Tom+ to avoid hotplugging

As I haven't got a PS2 era mouse it looks like a false economy not to get a fully USB capable adaptor. I can't see anywhere with stock of the TOM / TOM+ series though.

AFAIK they only sell on ebay. I thought they were made specifically by user "electronika4you" but Demo's already posted a link to another seller in this thread.
I bought mine from: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Best-Amiga-A...-/232039311802 and the seller Demolition linked to: http://www.ebay.com/itm/TOM-USB-Mous...-/172314579823 (both of those are TOM+, allows switching from mouse to joystick) Last edited by puppypc; 13 January 2017 at 05:14. |

One potential problem with these though.. I bought a Jerry adapter but it didn't work properly. It turns out it was due to the voltage being a bit too low on the joy port. It was just 4.7V which apparently meant that the Jerry adapter kept resetting. So if you have a heavily expanded Amiga and a normal PSU, you could have the same issues I had. I have now built a booster/extender for my joy ports which will not only extend my joy ports but also boost the supply voltage from whatever it is (can be 2.5V even) up to exactly 5.0V to ensure the adapter always has the correct voltage.

Good idea, I hadn't thought to check the voltages on my port, that might be the problem for my mice.
