AlarCity - Action based shooter by Pixelglass gets a pre-order announcement!

Quote:
2016 is certainly one to remember for all the best retro gaming goodness, and it hasn't finished yet. As PixelGlass has announced the pre-order for their upcoming intensive action based game ' AlarCity ', which has been teased a good few times now via our Commodore Amiga Facebook group. Classed as their most daring top down shooter on the Amiga in recent years, this fine looking game featuring smooth 50hz 8 way scrolling, will be coming exclusively to all AGA Amigas, such as the CD32, A1200 and A4000 in Q3 of 2017.

Of course I'll support you earok and Tsak

...but as you've probably read from some of my posts; I have no need for CDs / boxes / manuals etc. so have pre-ordered the AlarCity (Silver, Digital) package

Thanx DamienD!

We've seen that there are loads of people that would like just to get a digital version. Also this is a means to offer the game at a much lower price than what you'd get with the physical ones.

Regarding the upcoming demo, we've been giving updates for quite some time now in the development thread (as you probably already know).

Now for the final game, we've got several months of development ahead of us!
Here are a few milestones that await to be completed after next demo release:

- UIs decorations & revamp
- Character/enemies redesigns & expansion
- Tileset expansion
- Collectables expansion
- Weapon & projectiles redesigns & expansion
- Special/Particle effects redesigns & expansion
- Concept art implementation (posibly for the cover art, menus, various screens & story or campaign mode).

Thanks man!
Stands for factory printed and not just burned. But I guess this goes without saying so we've corrected that description.

Pre-ordered.

Btw: going forward, will you consider to make games RTG able so we can use them thru the HDMI output of Vampired Amigas?

Thanks a lot!

Is RTG support in a game speciffically needed to view content through the HDMI with a Vampire? To the best of my knowledge (and please someone correct me if I'm wrong) RTG support is for the non standard Amiga resolutions, not having to do with HDMI per se.

Now if the question is if we intend to make games that will support more resolutions or colors (hense the need for RTG) I'd say we are surely interested.

Other than that (and I'm happy that Vampire is mentioned here) we're seriously considering adding to Alarcity advanced options that will allow the player to pump up a few visual aspects of the game (if the required horsepower is there). In this case, accelerator users could get a nice treat for their hardware.

But this is a milestone for a much later day. The main goal for now is to make the game as good as it gets with the vanilla configurations in mind.
