Uridium 2 : Diary of a Game
I don't know if this is the right place to post?
Here are some scans I just did from uk mag "ONE Amiga" Diary of a game Uridium 2 Unfortuantly I only Have Parts 3 to 5 This is part 3 (4 pages) from October 1992 they are a bitch to do a good scan, because the pages are bigger than the scanner. also if someone can get the first 2 parts and the rest, (How many were there ?) that would be appreciated, I think they must be in "One amiga" issues august and september 1992. Very fun read (that developer looks a lot like John Romero :s ). I find it highly entertaining to read about such trivial problems as fitting resources and moving variables to upper memory for faster access I'm glad to be a developer in times where resources are cheap.
Also changing border colors to check how far the game is getting before crashing. Simple yet very effective! |

Is that a possible plug for AGTW in the future alluding to the (abandoned) dual-playfield version of Uridium 2 Andrew Braybrook toyed with in a couple of his diary entries? Seem to recall in the 1st couple of entries there was going to be a walk around robot mode for the landing sequence when you attempted to blow up the ship, later changed to the mode used in the finished product. |

Hm I think the world is filled with gamers who haven't finished the first ship in Uridium 2... maybe one for the RAG team?
How's it going with those scans Blade002? Wanna see... *sob* |

What happened to those mentioned robot-walking passages? My Manta had never transformed to a robot

Perhaps they were changed to the reactor-destroying sequences in a spacesuit?

Probably yes. Unfortunatelly, the transform animations were passed as well
