Lotus Turbo Challenge 2 music - high quality mp3
Dear all,
I already have a copy of this and I'm not sure of the source but I realised that although it sounds great in the car, there are a few missing notes in some areas. I know selecting reverb settings etc normally gives a different output. Does anyone have some recommendations in how I can get a true mod to mp3 conversion so the music sounds as it would on the Amiga without the necessities of selecting various options? Ideally would like to know how to create them but happy if someone can supply a high bit rate mp3 of this tune! Great driving music in the sun! Kind regards, Lesta_SMSC |

1. Try Digiboosters with AHI file output.
2. Check http://www.amigaremix.com - you may find here a lot of remixes of this (and other) famous Amiga tune. |

I did not find any. I am using uade123 in virtual machine. It should sound exact like on Amiga. It emulates MC68000 CPU with deli/eagleplayer replayers.
I just lowered the stereo separation a bit, so it sounds good in headphones too. JanciB |

Perfect. Thank you. I wonder if Eagle player has an mp3/wav extraction facility?

I would recommend XMplay.
Left click in main window to open "Options and stuff", click on "Mod" in left tree and play with interpolation, ramping and surround to your taste. It is a fantastic sound using my headphones. Plays whitacker and tfmx too. Turrican2 in stereo with enhanced bass and surround, makes me gonna say "aaaahhh...... Edit: Xmplay filters files in "Open..." dialog, select all from drop-down list. Tfmx files have to use a special naming: MDAT.#? and SMPL.#? as prefix, not as suffix. (#? ami style joker for same base file name) Enjoy! |

I am using uade123 like this:
uade123 -p 0.4 -s 1 -f output.wav mod.input -p sets panning. 0 - full stereo, 1 - mono, 2 - inverse stereo -s sets subsong to 1 -f output file mod.input input file It automatically stops on song end. Some songs don't have end, they are looping. Then i use it like this: uade123 -p 0.4 -n -t 600 -w 600 -s 1 -f output.wav mod.input -n ignore song end -t sets song timeout. 600 for 10mins -w sets subsong timeout. 600 for 10mins Then i edit the wav in audacity. Try ModPlug Player from http://www.modplug.com/ old, but can convert modules and it's for Windows.

What settings are you using and which version? Are you using Deliplayer on Amiga or Windows?

UADE is so good that it's worth switching to Linux or BSD just so you can run it. It's an amazing piece of software. |
