Full MMU support

Support for mmu (as alone chipset or integrated witch 68040).
This may be very helpful, especially when you not only play old games...

I'm sure that the latest version of MAME (or it could be MESS) has direct emulation of the 68040 Processor with MMU. Would have to check again, but if it has then the source code is out there and is non-windows specific at least.

EDIT: ok turns out it's still a work in progress, but apparently there's already been a good lot of development with emulation of the 68040 FPU for the System JC arcade board emulation.

This has been discussed too many times already.

1: MMU is not really needed in Amiga emulation. You don't need virtual memory or enforcer etc.. Run Linux? You can always run Linux in native mode.. (and Linux also needs hardware HD controller which is not emulated yet either)
2: MMU emulation won't be compatible with JIT
3: MMU emulation will cause major slowdown in CPU emulation speed.
4: MESS/MAME is not GPL compatible (not really needed anyway because 68040/60 MMU is really simple compared to 68030)

-> MMU is useless except in some special circumstances like maybe WHDLoad debugging

It will happen someday but it has really low priority..

Maybe slow pririty, but it will be very helpful for programmers (not vor vitual mamory ofcourse).

I'm sorry, but when people are working for free, to do jobs others cannot do, and they still get second guessed, it's the only answer deserved.

I second this request, it seems to me to be the major non-emulated bit of hardware...

It's very annoying trying to debug programs without an MMU...

Toni agreed to make a custom MMU mode for WHDLoad, with only illegal read/write features.
I guess Enforcer would have to be modified to work with it obviously.
