Amiga Classix 4 for Mac/PC - comments?

Hi there EAB, long time no see.

I happened to find this (legal/licensed?) Amiga games collection just now and was wondering what people thought of it. Does anyone here have it and if so how (well) does it work? Is it just ADF/IPFs with UAE included? The Mobygames entry mentions something about a launcher/menu with manuals included and copy-protection removed.

Linkos:

http://www.mobygames.com/game/amiga-classix-4

And just before anyone goes agro with "yarr! these bastards shouldn't be selling stuff we can get for free! yarrgh! froth!" yes, I am aware of that issue but bandwidth is pricey downunder and I'm just curious. kthnx.

wait. what? 0_o um... thanks!

Well after reading up about the Classix series I don't think it would be worth my time. No doubt people who are emulator-illiterate would love them though. Good luck to them. Maybe would be a nice impulse purchase if found cheaply enough, but in the Oz shop I saw it in it was $30 (£12 / €17).

And it's rattus with a lowercase r, I'm not worthy of capitals.

It better not have IPF's on there!

As for whether it is legal or not... Who knows. Earlier versions of this compilation certainly wasn't.

i concur with sychro his dvd has shit loads of stuff on it and works on pc and xbox (read thread elsewhere since i can't be arsed to find the link right now )

I have finished my allocation of sending the DVD but since i once had a friend in Australia i am willing to make an exception and send you a copy of the Amiga Tribute II dvd rattus, made by synchro and what a job he's done

just pm me with your aussie address and i'll get a copy off to you. You can check what it is here and why it's worth it's weight in gold and a shite load more too

http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=23842

this is far better than any illegal so called legal amiga classix cd as it's a dvd and it's full to the rafters!
