8Bitdo Megadrive/Genesis retro receiver + A1200
As the title suggests, I'm considering buying the 8Bitdo Megadrive/Genesis retro receiver to be able to use my DS3 or DS4 controller with my A1200.
I know that the MegaDrive/Genesis controllers are compatible with the Amiga but with some caveats. Due to the controller/receiver pulling power from the data line instead of the +5v pin can lead to the receiver not working due to lack of power, as I've seen some people with issues with the 2.4GHz RF receiver or the M30 controller. After some investigation I came across this post here on eab with a schematic that will make the MD controller 99% (aside A button and start) compatible with the Amiga. My question is, anyone here has one of these receivers or knows if it'll be usable on the A1200 with that mod? Cheers |
