That (or one of the variants) is one I meant:

From July WIP:

"PA, Ocean, by Pierre Adane: Variants found on Ilyad, Toki and Pang."

Thumbs up News from david !!

huhu, I just had one call phone with david peres (father of Teddy Bear, main topic of this thread)

in short:
- He will try to release "teddy bear" for the community asap
- he had just downloaded the latest WinUAE and will retry the compilation process
- One of the main bitmap was broken, he will look out for backup or send me Amiga disk if he found them back
- If someone knows "roman deschamps-vaidis" (the graphist of TeddyBear) it will be cool to also contact him
- He was very surprised by all our passion about the Amiga and really want to release his game. (destroyed by Ocean France)

@Bernd:
- He didn't say that TeddyBear was better than MrNuts, but just one the "father" of those kind of plateform games (11 differents version of TeddyBear for Ocean's leechers, the first version was more like sorcery (amstrad))

This is fabulous news I am very very glad he has come back to you after there were no replies to my own mails...
I think I had the same info from him regarding any missing gfx (status bar, I think)...

Would be fantastic if both games (Snow Bros and Teddy Bear) will see the light of world.

Probably I misinterpreted his info that Teddy would be better than Nutz, but I am sure it will still be a great game.

As for the gfx artist Roman Deschamps-Vaidis: Can you try to track him down in the French phonebook? This name does not seem to be very common.

now guys, any news?
Well I think I *DO* know why I did neither shout nor express overeager enthusiasm of any kind in this thread.
Everything here is *still* fiction and there's not even a 50% probability that everything will pay off in the end.

So, has there been happening anything sensational in the meantime?

Question

Thanks for reviving this thread,I'd forgotten about it!
If it gets to BTTR as a means of distribution, will someone post here when it happens?!

Sounds that you would be mischievous in a way.
These projects take a while and usually you have to send numerous reminders to the programmers to get any progress. But allow me the question: Who except RCK, the WHDLoad installs coders who offered help in advance and myself have contributed anything? Imo there is no right to criticize nor to be triumphantly malicous about another 'unsuccessful project' (which actually it isn't). No input no loss for the majority...

HUH?
No. You seem to have chosen the wrong word...maybe you mean mistrustful?
'Mischievous' is more like 'vicious', that's as if I enjoyed doing damage to people.

It wasn't meant to be regarded as cynicism! :eek
I'm just skeptical, that's all.

By the way: did you succeed in contacting those French game authors (Amiga scene thread) in French once more?
This thread is now about 1 1/2 - 2 weeks old, but no news anymore.../me don't hope everything was in vain.
I was speaking to Pierre Adane this morning about the preview of SnowBros that "the wolf" posted a few days ago in the zone
keep cool, everyone is busy here, we just need time.

This is good news....

Hopefully this game will get a release it deserves.

If it does happen, we'll turn it around quickly

I'm waiting for this game on Amiga from ages.
Nobody had to force Pierre Adane, or any people around this great forum to take out this truly rare gem.
I know everebybody (well, almost! ) have a work and a life.
I'm impatient but I can wait. When this game will see the light, one day, I'll be the happiest man in the world!

If it's still Snow bros they're talking about then yes. There's both a snow bros 1 and Snow bros 2 for the arcade. Easy enough to find out. Just get Mame32 and it'll give you a list of supported games.
