Magazine cover artwork = Timeline?
Love AMR, always knew it was going to be great, huge.
As a nostalgia addict, I was looking at the Artwork covers to Amiga Format. It is easy for me to draw a time-line through my teenage years and map events 1:1 with covers of Amiga Format! E.G. I noticed that I dont remember any magazine cover past December 1993. Why? What happened then? I didnt stop using my Amiga.... but in December 1993 I turned 18 and I guess all my spare change now went on beer I can see other dates, purchases of hardware, following reviews in the magazine... Definitely had an influence on my life. I still have all my Magazines. I take my hat off to Michael "Ayzie" Hayes from Nelson in Lancashire who started me off by giving me all his back issues in 1990. He was in this little Amiga group called Impact(?) and we met through and advert in Micro Mart. (Did everyone meet their Amiga mates through Micro Mart?) If you are reading Mick I am sorry for not sending you all that Amiga stuff in 1998! |

I put copies of my cover scans into a spare directory and renamed them all like YYYYMM<title>.jpg It makes a neat chronological slideshow from 1985 till 2000 or so.
