Website title: pointless, wild and pretentious affirmation.
Taken from: a recopilation of a round-up by absolutely no one of relevance to the debate. The result: sadness. (and not because one "won" over the other, but the existance of he debate alone is very sad) |

Certainly not taking it as serious as the protagonists of that story!
Also, system wars tire me. Haven't people had enough? :P They originated in the possibility of people getting ONLY one system or the other. A lot of people probably desired a C64 and ended up with a ZX or viceversa, and even then they had to defend to death whatever they had, because having them all was a millionaire's dream! Now you can. Be happy, own all systems ;D |

Web is full of these discussions. They dont make sense. I prefer Speccy because I owned one but C64 is great computer too. The battle is over for almost two decades, why people waste their time with writing these articles? They should run some emulator and play those games.

The bloated approach to the rather simple fanboi war is what annoys me. It's not fun to read So I would say in terms of entertainment : FAIL!

Yup (at least my reaction). It's a quite boring read (as far as I got) regardless of which side 'wins'.

My eyes started to cry after the fourth line... Couldn't read it anymore. Which is better an apple or an orange? |

I owned both computers and the answer is simple.
The speccy was best at playing spectrum games The C64 was the best at playing C64 games Now which was better the oric atmos or zx82?.............. |

LOL.. We used to have 'system wars' at school all the time. Personally, I thought the Commodore 64 was better, probably because I owned one. I used to go around my friends house and play the Spectrum, which I thought was pretty cool too. I loved the fact when you walked infront of something you turned the same colour as it

The 'war' was made by 80's magazines. They said 1000's of times that c64 conversion of any game was better, because of the colours and the sound. They said the same to Amstrad ever ranking better to ZX. The same happened later with Atari vs Amiga games and now XBOX vs PS.
I understand the 'accumulated anger' of the author. |
