Amiga Disk Drives?
Is it possible to use a HD floppy disk drive in an Amiga?
Would it need to be some sort of old "dual boot" disk drive, which would be just as hard to find as a loose Amiga disk drive? |

You only have to modify the cable, connecting the floppy and the Amiga a bit. You can find a how-to in the Aminet (just google for it). And this is, how it should look like: And I used a "normal" Diskdrive for it. Just went to a store and said "Yo, I need a Floppydrive" and it worked. |

Yes, but:
1) It only works with standard Amiga DOS software which doesn't rely on the READY signal ! At least every second game won't run correctly because they use their own diskroutines. 2) It will only work as DD drive in the Amiga ( 880KB ) |
