Does anyone has a new solution for wrong colors on this game???
Do we have to set a SuperHiRes screenmode to play ???? What is the trick to have the good graphics???? If anyone has played this game with good colors with HD install or WHDLoad install in WinUAE or real Amiga , please show us your configuration Thanks |

No idea. One of the other threads gave the impression that the game never worked properly and the screenshots in HOL are from some special archive of images, not from it actually running...

Hey!
It must be played on a RGB-monitor or TV. I have problems with my PIV, but it works fine on RGB. (both monitors are plugged in at once) Has something to do with the black pixel technique. |

Games that use shres-"smoothing"-trick need "filtered lo-res" option enabled in WinUAE or colors look really weird.

But does the same colour problem happened on a real Amiga?????
That's the question............. Because in fact, this game can be run on a CD32 (enough memory) and i want to run it but the problem is i don't know if i have to do a special startup-sequence to have good graphics (i mean add some screenmode or anything else) So my question is now : Can Virtual Karting can be run on a stock A1200 and what's the preferences needed to run it with good graphics Thanks a lot for helping me |

Yes the same problem does happen on my Amiga, I don't have an RGB lead though so I can't test if the above comment about working through RGB works fine.
Shit programming if you ask me. |

It needs nothing more but a A1200. If you get some Fastram...Great!
Of course, the color "problem" appears on real hardware. (on my A4000 and A1200) |

So.. it doesn't actually "work" properly. The graphics are ugly as hell.

Yes!
Isn´t it possible to change colors in a WHDload version? Maybe it´s just inverted?! |

So you are saying it can have non-corrupted graphics on a real amiga if you use an RGB lead?

I tried the whdload, the floppy, the CD versions all in WinUAE (without the advice Toni gives above) and I tried them all on my real A1200 with standard composite video, all gave shitty graphics.

I have noticed that the game screen is anormaly down on the monitor
Do you think it's about the screen mode which is not correct ( and can cause ugly graphics indeed) |

It´s because of this black pixel thing!!
But colors are right with e.g. 1084 monitor. It´s not bad programming, it´s the kind of technique used to get 24-30 fps on a A1200. |
