Tribute II....Bet you thought id given up :)

Hi Guys
I know its been a while ( but life gets in the way ) Its all done but the burn and the final check to see i havent missed anything !!!

The only problem is its gonna have to be a dual layer 8.5 gig dvd because of the Xbox side of things did not want to share the games as planned but its got some collection on it i can tell ya

It just meant the Xbox part has its own game directory.

Take a look at the link below for a small preview ( sorry if the servers slow but its the best i can do at the moment )

I hope the interest is still around

http://amigatribute.atspace.com/

Any questions ???

Looks nice synchro.

I have an modded Xbox at home so would definitely be interested in trying this out... What do I need to do in order to get a copy, send you a dual DVD?

It works on PC and xbox !! ( no charge ) PM me your addy its for preservation not for profit !! ( as stated clearly in the credits and readme ) keeping it within the community would be nice so whoever gets one if you can copy it and send one to a few members or ftp for members only that would be great...and save me a fortune

Thank you so much. Just wanted to pay you for the price of the Dual Layer DVD. I knew that you wouldn't expect payment for the content or efforts that you've clearly put in...

Thumbs up

Oh, so my workbench screens aren't good enough to use anymore then...

...only joking!!!!

I know how fussy the XBOX can be when it comes to files so it's unfortunate you have to resort to dual layer (extra expense etc...) but this DVD looks to be the definitive DVD Amiga collection (considering how much you crammed on the Tribute 1 CD!) - I'd love a copy of the disc - and if you want I'm more than willing to aid you with the duplication and distribution of discs. At the very least, let me buy you a pint (or 10!)

I must admit that I've not been doing anything Amiga related for a while - you have probably just rekindled my interest...to the point that I may start work on the two games I was writing last year - although total copies of existing games I think they are perfectly suited to the Amiga - Bejeweled 2 and Bookworm.

I have all the graphics for bejeweled and have completed all animations (each jewel type has 50(!) frames of animation alone!!!) The game engine is written so it's really just a matter of merging the two and then adding some sound.

Bookworm just needs an ending and some sound.

Hmmmm. Time to plug the old girl in again!

Did i get your workbench screens andy ??? Please mail me what you have if you can ???

As for the dual layer disc its only because the thing is so damb big not because of any reading problems !!!

What i may do is release 2 versions....The 4 gig PC only and the multi boot 7 gig version that works on xbox as well...il have a play to see how things work out as a lot of people dont have an xbox so they can still happily use the PC side of things and it will be a lot cheaper

Synchro! Great to see you've returned to finish off your project!

The classicwb's on your DVD are probably out of date by now, but since they're really only being loaded up for nostalgia I guess it doesn't really matter.

Bloodwych mate

I figured you would you would show up ...I was getting a little worried though seeing as your input really made the DVD what it is.

I have just been talking to Xport who have informed me they are currently updating WinuaeX so assuming it will be finished this week i may hold a couple of days to import the new version on the DVD !!
If you have any updates and i have time to implement them i would love to !!

Preferably like you made them for me last time would be perfect and it would only take minutes to swap over....Let me know what you think mate as they are your setups and i want you to be happy with whats released ....
I have a 4 meg connection so if you have an FTP or even mail me ...i can take up to 30 meg i could get right on it

Sorry m8 - I was referring to my WB screens used in the first tribute disc (I was only joking though!)

Put me down on the list for a pc/xbox version please - and remember I'm more than willing duplicate discs for others on the board. I've PM'd details.

Sorry for my bad english. The meaning of the sentence was this:

Tribute II sounds great!. Do I need a modded Xbox to use it, or is it possible to use it with an ordinary Xbox?
