Test Drive II - Northern Gemany Challenge
For all who are interested in that: I´ve zoned a custom scenery disk for Test Drive II that I´ve made in 2012: The Northern Germany Challenge.
Enjoy. |

I assume you don't mind that I'm hosting the file on the amiga-news server? I couldn't link to the zone (registered users only) so I had to mirror it before making a news item.

I don´t mind but I have to admit that the gfx are taken from the already known scenery disks. So I don´t really know if that´s really "amiga-newsworthy".

Cool. Works great. But personally I would have used a regular ADF file so that real Amiga users could also use it without dealing with WinUAE first (nothing against WinUAE )

That's cool, I have been playing it and no problems to report...
Did you reverse engineer the file format? You might want to document what you ascertained, maybe then it would be easier for others to eg. write a friendly track editor utility without duplication of effort. |

Thanks for uploading! Nice arrangement! Are there similarities with real A7?
Great with the Lotus from Supercars car-disk . Or K.I.T.T. from Knight Rider but there is no such car disk . Imagine that cockpit. |

Can somebody please test this dirty & (very) unofficial WHD version and see if it works all the way through the game ?
I have only played level 1 and it seems to be ok. It contains F40, 959 and Northern Germany Scenery only (ie no Master Scenery). [edit] Full package is on the FTP in WHDLoad updates folder. Last edited by Retroplay; 27 October 2013 at 17:24. |

Somebody reported a crash at track 3 with WHDLOAD but was not sure about wether that was caused by the scenery disk or by someting different. A second time it worked fine.

This is impressive! I'm gonna have to get it onto my WHDLoad version I was just getting back into Test Drive II and stumbled upon your expansion pack. I'm also the author of a pseudo-3d roads webpage and was wondering if you'd be up to talk about the Test Drive 2 level format..? Just trying to preserve oldschool knowledge
