Seeing as how every last sanely-priced A1200 is in Europe...

On average, what would it cost to ship an Amiga 1200 from say, the UK to the US?

UK to the US will be very expensive, since normally UK to Portugal shipping price is usually 20£, and Portugal is nearer that US and part of the same continent...

Talking about postage, any ideas how much it'll cost me to mail a boxed Amiga 600 from UK to UK/EU/US?

Don't forget you have to find a 120VAC power supply to run the thing from.

Done and done, many A500s have died and left their power supply behind, or there's always the remote chance of finding the connector and building one out of a Wintel power supply.

The question basically boils down to this: how much does an A1200 weigh, not counting the power supply?

If you do get an A1200 from overseas get an accelerator (if needed) at the same time

Can someone put their A1200 on a scale and post the results?

I only ask because a friend is in the UK atm...

An A500 cost something like 80e to send from Finland to the US (I didn't send the PSU). Not very cheap..

Overseas it's either the weight or the size that matters. They choose the more expensive one, I think.. (naturally :-)
