cdtv now not working

Hi all,
As in the great tradition of me having a simple project too look forward to at the weekend everything has gone tits up!! . As mentioned in an earlier thread i was going too network my cdtv too the 1200 via parnet .
Orderded cable got the s/w together ready too roll
Switched on cdtv last night, booted ok then mouse pointer nosedived into the bottom right hand corner , oh dear i said ,so i switched it off and slowly backed out of the room muttering that it will be ok tommorrow.
suitably medicated i tried again tonight , nothing ,nada ,zilch just a black screen, oh flip i said as i manically grabbed my screwdriver set and whipped the casing off ,half an hour later having reseated all cables and chips she spung into life replaced casing plugged everything back in and switched on and....................nothing, back to black screen so before i go in for more deeper surgery and possibly knackering it completely any ideas ?

ok update !!

replaced 2591 chip and with a.n other from old 500 and its sprung into life downside being no lcd display or ir remote control but fully boots up. Keyboard works ok but i have not got a mouse to try. if i can source a mouse im guessing this will work ok. so ,what does this chip control (2591)
and have you got a spare time to source another broken cdtv. so to recap fully bootable, but no cursor control or lcd display , keyboard works fine ,cd reading disks

Which chip you called 2591??????

The CDTV have all the same Amiga custom chips of the A500:

8520 CIA chips: lots of inputs and outputs
8371/8372/8375 Agnus (on UK/European models): Chip/video memory controller
8362 (OCS) or 8373 (ECS) Denise: video and right mouse button
8364 Paula (audio and ports)
5719 Gary chip.

The 252609-02 is the LCD controller chip.
