Just found KG's site and it's excellent! THANKS!!!
I have a few questions though: I have only 6 tracks though in the Super Skidmarks + pack? And weren't the AGA cars supposed to look better? It looks like only 4 colours for each car. Last edited by Flashlab; 21 March 2007 at 22:21. |

There are 36 tracks, you need to click on "Read CD" or "Read Floppy" (can't remember which) to display the next 6, then next 6 and so on
AGA means that each player can have a different car if I recall, whereas ECS means everyone has to have the same car. Oh and AGA enables hires mode! I THINK! |

Cheers for the upload, dlfr, and to killergorilla for going through all this effort to provide the best pre-installed releases of Super Skidmarks ever!
EDIT: Ooops, reread dlfr's post more carefully, and it seems it's not in the Zone right now! Apologies man, but could you let me have a copy please? I do believe I helped get USS added to the CD³² TOSEC database after I bought an original CD off Amiga Deals and passed my dump to idoru and co. So the CD shouldn't be too difficult to find now! Might as well ask btw...... did the first Skidmarks have anything that Super didn't out of interest? |

Two more questions:
1) If any of you have the actual original data disks, do you think you could help get them preserved in SPS? 2) The HOL entry for Skidmarks states the "last known version" is v2.2.1. Surely it's referring to Super Skidmarks there? I don't know of any versions of the first Skidmarks other than v1.06. |

I have a load of extra vehicles which people have made, I could upload a SUPER SUPER SKIDMARKS with the extra vehicles, such as hovercraft, wheelchair etc. if anyone is interested.
I have also changed the link in the main post I made about the games. |

Might as well make it clear to others......... if you're interested in the original Skidmarks, KG's got both ECS and AGA versions in his WHDLoad collection, pre-installed and ready for playing.

2nd era...

Ah SuperBugged Skidmarks, had this for the A1200, always crashed at some point whenever I played it.
I take it non-working disks were a common issue as we had a non-working tracks disk 2. Ranks just below TFX in the bugs department. |

I only ever really had problems when I tried installing it to my hard drive, it was an absolute pig to get working (i.e. I never managed it) and I swear it had the most useless manual ever written.
I've got the Ultimate Super Skidmarks CD as well, not once have I had a problem with it, 100% reliable. |

Sorry to bump this thread, but I appear to have a problem using the built-in HD installer to dump the ECS vehicles. I'm trying to see if I can make a RAM-installed save state for PSPUAE you see, and it appears Ultimate Super Skidmarks does not include any of the original ECS cars already dumped (I'm not counting the third-party stuff it's included).
Is there an actual working configuration that'll allow one to install the game (through v2.2 or v2.21) without crashing during the decrunching process? |

Sorry to bump this old thread, but would appreciate some advice (as KG's links from 3 years ago don't work anymore)...
I have in my possession the Ultimate Super Skidmarks CD ISO, with the four versions of the game mentioned by KG above. However, these only have the original 24 tracks, and are the version 2.2 (not 2.21). I *also* have, from the EAB File Server, ADFs of the data disks which update the program to 2.21 and have the extra 12 tracks. But these are designed for the floppy version of Super Skidmarks - how do I update the CD versions of the program? (Or alternatively, if KG still has the files he created back in 2006, that would be great instead! :-) ) |

The disk labels of the TOSEC versions are completely wrong.
I have compared with the original scene release. Maybe this is the reason for various problems with the game. 2. The original scene release had 8 disks, unlike the original, because the original was MFM protected and data did not fit on 7 disks. Disks renamed to: Quote:
