You may try METAL MUTANT (1991)(Silmarils), METAL MUTANT (1991)(silmaris)[a] from http://www.oldgamesfinder.com/?q=Metal+Mutant&m=-2

Cracked version should have [cr (group)] tag in filename.

METAL MUTANT (1991)(Silmarils) -> doesnt work
METAL MUTANT (1991)(silmaris)[a] -> working but on loading (Amiga DOS screen) cursor is modified and "BBP" word on it. Is this normal ?

I see METAL MUTANT (1991)(Silmarils) work only in Winuae if is more than 512kb chip mem (1mb or more), doesnt work on real Amiga 500. Have someone uncracked, working version (adf) of this game ?

(this second one is hacked by BBP) [h BBP]

I have the original, but the disk has some sort of protection on the last track and thus I don't know how to create a working image which can be written back to a disk. Any advice?

yes an advice, use RAWREAD from Toni Wilen With it you will be able to make an extended ADF of Metal Mutant with its copy-protected track.

Ah yes, just checked it. RawRead is indeed able to write (protected?) images back to disk. We'll see if it works. Image is in the Zone.

Pincat ? can you use again Rawread on Metal Mutant and type this on CLI :

rawread -f nameofthegame -s 0 -e 82 -r

And then post the resulting extADF in the zone ? Thanks !

I have checked, the protection track is missing from the image (In fact it's a standard ADF).

Ok, done it using your options this time. But I'm afraid the image has the same size as before. When RawRead reaches track 79 it says "(empty track?) raw". The same goes then for every following track. Maybe I was wrong and it's not a protection, just an unformatted track.

Pincat, are you using an A1200 ? if yes, can you copy this ADF on disc, and then dump with it your Metal Mutant disc as *.RAW file and zone it please ?

http://www.kryoflux.com/download/kffree_amiga_3.7.zip

I will check it

BTW : the protection track in track 79 is impossible to copy (on purpose hehe).

In the Zone. I'm using an A1200 and I chose dumping mode 1 which is one of the recommended modes for accelerated Amigas. Also, I turned the CPU caches off. I hope all settings were correct and the dump is somehow useful. Btw, I totally forgot to mention that this is the German version of the game. Might be hard to solve for one who's not familiar with that language

hi Pincat, your german version is actually NOT copy protected. There is nothing in place of the usual Silmarils copy protection track.

I see that you own the budget release, which can explain this.

I also note that your disk is modified, a saved occured or a writing on it (track 40.0 and 47.1) so no cigar.

A standard ADF of this game will finally perfectly do
