I like No Second Prize, by Thalion. Very original, at a time when sprite-based racers were the Amiga norm.
Welcome, Fragger. You're not a Fraggle, are you? |

What do you think about Lionheart?
Or other Ralf Glau games like Yuppies Revenge (superb multiplayer mode) and Vermeer? Hehe the Fraggles are really kewl, but that´s not the reason for my nick. |

Lionheart is brilliant. Technically excellent, and really playable too.
The other two I haven't played, I'm afraid. Am I missing two more classic games? |

Lots of games...
My favorite Amiga titles are all 'made in Germany'
Where shall I a start? I have always liked the Lucas Arts' type PD-adventure Das Schmutzige Erbe and its predecessor. It came on only one disc (unique for an adventure) and is beautiful presented. Quik and Silva by New Bits on the Block is one of the PD-platformgames I really like and features great Chris Huelsbeck music. Kaiko's Apidya needs no introduction as it belongs to the top 3 of the best shmups of all time. Then, as Akira already mentioned before there are the Turrican-series which rank as my all-time favorite games EVER. Nothing in the past 9 years has come close to this mighty trilogy. I know there are great other games like Blades of Destiny/ Das Schwarze Auge, Hexuma and On the Ball/ Anstoss, but they are not my favourite genre. I know Kaiser. It is a sort of strategy/ trade simulation. Wasn't there a sequel to this game? |

Yes, I thought Mad TV 2 came out for Amiga, but I'm not sure.
Mad TV was a great game. Other favourites: Almost any Lucasfilm game (no not Loom), Wings and Bundesliga Manager. |

I think noone mentioned "Ambermoon" yet... a damn fine roleplaying game, very advanced for its time (3D grafx) and only available in German for a long time. An English version of it was finished, but never published since Thalion went down the drain... Some time ago the English version was discovered, however, and is now available as well, for all those not proficient in Goethe's tongue.

Hmm i never played Ambermoon (or Amberstar) on a real amiga, so don´t have an opinion about that game.
Mad TV was a really cool game, so one question: is it possible to change the text files (e.g. movie names) ? So it would be possible to "update" Mad TV with newer movies, and i hope some more movies. And what do you think about Blue Bytes Battle Isle and Historyline? Last edited by Mondain; 18 June 2002 at 20:05. |
