How very strange I too was thinking about adding a 72 pin simm to the trapdoor slot of a A600, got the pin outs and then not much else.

Can you tell me more about what your trying to do?

You can only add 1Mbyte to the trapdoor slot.

The Marpet 1MByte A600 RAM with 30-pin SIMMS is crap because it weighs too much and comes loose all the time.

You may as well buy the new A602 from Individual Computing for £30

1Mb added is alot when you only got 1Mb to start with
I searched last night Google/Aminet etc, can't find any homebrew hack jobs for doing this (found links to LVDs Russian forum, but I can't speak that )

Why would you want to homebrew when you can still buy them for under the price of a good night out?

Never heard the phrase, time is money?

Are there not other things to do, things you cannot buy?

Eek

If I'm right, the name of him is Vitaly Grebennik, from Russia (of course).

I need his permission to make a guide to make a DIY A601, more complete, with parts lists, tables and schematics. And with optional RTC and battery, of course.

I can only publish it with his approval. Proper credits will be given.

He had made just a table with the pinouts of the A600 trapdoor and the equivalent on the SIMM. But this is not mine own IP, so I need to ask the original author.

This is the only ethical way, unfortunately (or fortunately, depends on how do you see the question).

OK, after talking with some fellow russian pals, I decide to release the archive to aminet.

Just a little minor corrections and add-ons and at 22th January everyone can reach the "Tabajara A601" on aminet.

Maybe because I posted it to Aminet only today.

Look for Tabajara.
