What monitor driver should I use for 640x480 60Hz?

I'm on a ClassicWB install, and been trying a bunch of drivers and the only that gives me 640x480 60Hz without visual errors is the Multiscan Productivity, however when I use it my mouse pointer is restricted to the left half of the screen.

Is there any AGA driver for this mode that works perfectly in WinUAE?

Perhaps you can make your own with the great MonSpecsMui (looks German, but the program is in English). This is similar to MonEd, except it's a thousand times better. Has a proper GUI, allowes you to change more registers and it enables you to edit the overscan file properly (this is crucial).

I've used this to make a 96 hertz interlaced 672x562 pixel mode on my A1200 (CRT VGA monitor), perhaps it will work well under WinUae.

I think you should set up an RTG screen, you'd get much higher resolutions and much better performance.

It's been a long time since I've done it but from memory all you need to do is add some Z3 Fast Ram and install the Picasso 96 drivers.

Yeah I do have an RTG configuration that I normally use, I just wanted to test the native 640x480 in cycle-exact mode to get a feel for how it would run on the real thing.

Thanks, I tried this but couldn't get it to let me change anything. All sliders and value-controls were disabled no matter what I tried, and in any case that part of the Amiga hardware is a gray area to me and I wouldn't know what settings to change, and I would probably end up with either visual errors and/or the mouse pointer restricted to one half of the screen like in the supplied drivers.

Right now it's leaning towards being a problem in WinUAE itself I guess.

First, any programmed mode can display strangely with filters or anything display related extra enabled. You may also need to enable superhires to get correct display.

-> much more information needed before anyone will bother with this
