Cool Atomic Cabbage Amiga Page

Its still small at the moment, but I am adding pictures to all of the games in the archive, adding more amiga programs, and more links.

The site is http://amiga.atomnet.co.uk or http://atomnet.co.uk and then click Amiga on the left.

Comments and Suggestions welcomed.
I have just removed Workbench and the Kickstarts from the site due to people always having a strop when they are mentioned ( ) but I know I sure as hell dont want to figure out how to manually extract the Kickstart from my Amiga! .

Anyways, as I said, progressing slowly due to extreme amounts of College work, but still, it should be legal now, notify me if I have missed anything.

Cheers

Atomic Cabbage - Excellent

All I can say is WOW, an excellent site, it may be in its infancy, but so far it hits the mark on all counts, easy to navigate, information is informative, but succinct. downloads, all in working order... i congratulate you... i will certainly be visiting again and again ...

Cool

Oh, I am also going to split the game download sections into 3 pieces.

Firstly will be the one with Images and a small description.
Second will be a no hastle directory listing
and the Third will be the entire TOSEC game archive....

Only problem is at the moment is I only have a 6.4GB drive for the server, and the make matters WORSE is it will only format if I cut it down to 2.5gig (its very unhealthy to say the least). Had to compress the entire drive just to fit the current games archive on.
[heh, typed my sig again. I think I should set up a SSI that adds NS after every paragraph ]

Thanks for the remarks so far guys.

Unhappy

I added lots of stuff last night but I wont be updating today as at work last night I was informed by a mate that a friend from school I was talking to the other day has died of a stroke (at the same age as me, 17).

And then I go downstairs this mornining, and find out that my cat has died, he wasnt even old, just been to the vets and they said he would be ok with some boosters. He obviously wasnt.

Now tried to optimise it for non BB users.

Cut the backdrops size from 50k combined to 3.5k
Cut the Navbars backgrounds from 24k combined to 4k.

Can you have a look again and tell me if it looks any differnt or if it still looks ok (more compression and only actually a 1/5th of their original sizes).

Cheers

I've not noticed any weird Opera bugs so it looks like you've scored a compatibility hit too.

Cool

Yeah, took a while to get it compatible (Opera, Netscape, Mozilla, IE5+) due to the whole design being set by Cascading Style sheets, but evetually it worked.

There is one bug though in Mozilla, there is a gap between the top of the left navbar, and where the links start, asif there is a <br> there, but there isnt, so Im putting it down to being a Mozilla problem .

Cheers for the comments all.
