CD32 Video problem
Hey
Got myself my first cd32 but it has a problem with the video. I can sometime get it to work if i power up without the composite cable (or s-video) plugged in. Then plug in the video cable. Its been recapped im aware of the two backwards caps. Any ideas would be great. Thanks https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bz1...w?usp=drivesdk |

That looks weird. Have you tried another display? I feel like it's your monitor freaking out with the Amiga's progressive signal.
Does the monitor support 240P? |

With boot problems my guess would be the power brick getting old. But with graphic issues chip/connector going bad feels more likely. |

CD32 boot screen is interlaced, not PAL/NTSC progressive mode that can confuse some (digitally processed) displays.
Does in-game (non-interlaced) screens also have same glitch? |

Yeah good call, that screen is interlaced. Should progress further into the game.
I still feel like it's a monitor freak-out, what possible fault can an Amiga attain that gives out that picture? I never seen anything like that in my life. |

Monitor freak out, just tried a little teac tv i bought for retro, and its works fine. The computer monitor is an Asus 20" but the kingdom of junk makes it bit hard to get to the back of it.

I'm glad you figured it out. Rule #1 of figuring weird shit out is always try to find fault at the easiest possible problem to fix .
