X-Copy was by far the most used copier. You couldn't go to a meeting of Amiga folk without the noise of the legendary 'bong', that indicated copy complete, being heard every three seconds,
D-Copy came into it's own later on in the Amiga's life. |

I remember there was a copier with like a 500x100 window and regular Intuition buttons, you clicked a source and then up to 3 destinations. It was small and reliable. Can't remember the name though. Maybe I'm confusing it with the DMS thingy, but I don't think so. Otherwise I'd have to go for X-Copy Pro, although I was hardly a swapper, so I can't say as I spent much time with either one.

PowerCopy Pro. Was much better at copying protected originals than anything else I tried (and I tried most of them...)

Other for me
Other is TetraCopy for me too. Always good to play a game whilst copying disks. Wasn't there one where you could play pac-man too?

X-Copy, yes.
But does anyone even remember SAFE II by Michael Pendec, one of the original developers of XCopy III / Cachet? Nice one too. D-Copy? Well, I only had the pre-release 0.9 in my Amiga heyday, and thus didn't use it much ![]() |
