Tip: Long filename support for zip disks...

...in both Workbench and Windows.

Thanks to Severin for pointing out FAT95. Got this functioning with a zip drive. If anyone wants the mountlist I've attached it. This is for a zip drive plonked on the Squirrel PCMCIA > SCSI device.

You'll also need fat95 in your L: directory. Search for "FAT95" on Aminet for the installer.

Tested copying long filenames to/from Windows and Workbench, and they are preserved in both directions. Excellent


Edit: To add...

It seems slower performance on both sides compared to each operating system's native filesystem unfortunately.

Also remember to avoid illegal characters. "?" for example, is legal under Workbench, but not Windows.
