Do you mean where can you grab Blitz Basic 2 from?

On the EAB File Server you can find it, see here.

Cheers, was just wondering if you had images of it.

Not sure which version I have, if someone would like to pick up screech and extend it. They are welcome

Use idrougge's archive that he provides above, it has everything installed and ready to go.
I tried to compile a working setup from the Ultimate CD including everything but it was a pain in the ass.

PS: totally interested in more games from you and sources! Thanks so much!

Hi All,

I finally got my Gotek drive and will transfer the source across

And anything else I can find

took 3 months to secure one and it works, although not the right fit for the A1200 case.

But I can finally get everything off it!

Dont worry about the donation to myself, if you feel like donating then please to this one -> http://www.devilark.org.au/

These little guys need money more than me Tassie devils are in danger of being lost to Facial Tumour disease.

The game was written for free so people can enjoy, basically, if you get hours of fun from something I have created, then im very proud!

On a side note, im working on my 1942/raid on bungling bay inspired game here -> https://www.facebook.com/InsaneSoftware.com.au/.

Finally, screech will be using the same graphics engine I have written The game on the link is first thing Im finishing though

OK! I have uploaded the code for screech. -> insanesoftware.com.au/Screech_Amiga_Code.rar

Its in 3 ADF files. please extract all files to the same directory if you want to compile. You may need to mount. I had some problems with the cheap usb drive they gave me with the gotek drive so had to create a new USB. took sometime to get this all working.

Anyway, now works, no complaints! I will put the rest of the code base for my other games on here also. If I can get my pcmia card working then I will compress the whole drive so you can pick through eveyrthing.

...been a long time ago since I made these disk.

Firstly, you need to make an assign called "SCREECH" (no quotes) to wherever you run the game from.

Secondly, I need to add these library files to the disk:

Code:
mathtrans.library
reqtools.library
I'm not saying that's your issue, but some things to check

That's really weird indeed

When do you get this error 'music mod failure'; before the title screen loads?

I just did the following as a test:
  • Created / formatted a 5MB .HDF.
  • Created a folder "C" and copied "assign" into this.
  • Created a folder "Libs" and copied "mathtrans.library" & "reqtools.library" into this.
  • Extracted all contents from Screech AGA V2.51 (751K) into the root of the hard drive.
  • Booted and typed assign screech: "".
  • Typed screech_aga_demo.
All worked perfectly.

...I even tried using a "CD32 KS ROM v3.1 rev 40.60 (512k).rom".

Edit: and I just tried using a CD32 Quickstart but added the .HDF in; still all working...

Yeah its on a workbench screen after the company logo appears, i've tried in the root dir too with the data folder as intact as the readme says.

I wanted to include this on CD32 and Beer, I couldn't get it to work for the same reasons that AmigaJay described. However, I didn't realise the source was available, so I spent some time patching it this morning.

Posted an unofficial (and not extensively tested) CD32 ISO of the game to the Zone. I've labelled this 2.58 AGA (UNOFFICIAL)

There's an issue with the 3rd party XBones CIA tracker library for Blitz that prevents it from loading tracker files direct from CD (hence, AmigaJay's issues with running it), I've kludged around this and recompiled.

ISO includes source, though the changes I made were incredibly minor.

I notice that the source provided was version 2.57, but the HDD install is 2.51? I wonder what differences there were between the two.
