BVisionPPC and P96 issue
Hello,
i installed from the scratch AmigaOS 3.9 boingbag 1&2 and BPPCfix/BPPCfixfix successfully, then i tried to installa Picasso96 3.12 i purchased some time ago but i get corrupted fonts and pointer on the screen, both on RTG screen and AGA ones. I attached a snapshot to explain better. The board works OK, AmigaOS 4.1 displays flawlessly. What is the problem? |

From a picture like this, it looks more like a hardware than a software issue. Anyhow, there are two versions of BVisions available, maybe you got the first batch with the older memory type.
MEMORYTYPE=OLD in the tool types of the monitor icon would then be worth a try. |

Memory type is a hardware issue, if the driver fails to select correct type anything can happen. I have a first batch card, but it seems to be working fine in auto mode.
Maybe you have your clocks sets wrong or too high for the chip. Also try to remove all patches and see how that plays, they can cause all sorts of side effects. Also pay attention to what libs you have in use. |
