i have 3.2.2. Every version works fine except newest. Click on "Add game" and screen freeze

I wish there was a recent warpup version. my 060-66 just is not enough and the os4 version is too heavy for Cyberstormppc that it won't run at all.

Can't get 2.x to run in fullscreen, works in a window.
Old 1.9 versions work just fine in fullscreen

Are you talking about my latest RTG release v2.3.0.01 or someone else's release? If it's my release, check for an SDL_error.txt file in your game directory.

Also read the readme

You will need to have 320x200, 320x240 and 640x480 RTG 8 bit screen modes
available to Workbench.


1x scaler no aspect correct = 320x200
1x scaler with aspect correct = 320x240
2x scaler = 640x480


I'm about to release an updated RTG version that will error handle a problem when opening the screen.

Don't forget that with the RTG version you can set the global options to scale 2X and then override the individual game option to set it to 1x. In full screen mode this gives you the ability to have a higher resolution launcher.

Now we have an RTG port based on 2.5.1 as well, great.

No, with the latest RTG 2.5.1.01 it is still bad (have all screen modes available)

It reopens the screen when you click fullscreen and apply,
but you get a black screen output and nothing happens.
Even rebooting takes some effort.


The other issue is mouse driver handling, currently it uses hardware poking (like protracker) which is system unfriendly method and works badly in WinUAE. And does not work at all if you have virtual mouse driver enabled in input prefs.


Can this be reworked, or an option added to use a different routing for mouse handling ?

I have heard of this issue for some people when it can't open a screen, it's normally down to a Picasso issue (not my code).

Yes mouse driver is unfortunately very low level and a bit of a hack but it's the only way to capture a mouse on classic AmigaOS unfortunately.

Nothing is written, just enters black screen and nothing happens, cpu 100% stall.


No game required, just the main menu for full screen option ticked to test it.




On a real machine it starts nicely, but under CGX drivers there.


However there is an issue eg. Simon for DOS
When you press CTRL key or try Amiga+M the game bottom menu dissapears, main game screen can get colour corruption, but that restores.

No way to get the menu back, just a blank part of the screen remains.





Any way to keep WB open and switch back when in full screen ?
Multitasking looks ok in window mode, so no reason to block custom screen.





Shame you do not have any ideas how to get the mouse coordinates system friendly way. Most paint programs do the same without issues,
and OS4 and other NG systems probably do it system friendly too, so can be looked up.

And one more thing, would be nice for the distribution to have a drawer icon and have proper icon positions under DOpus5 so you do not have to search the icon miles away from view.
