Whats the purpose of the combo box named 1x near at the top of the filter panel? It need to be something related to image scaling but I dont understand how...

It's for scaling the image. 2x or 4x simply means that every pixel is repeated (or scaled) 2 or 4 times. I'm not sure what FS stands for though.

I think OP meant the other 1-4x box. Internal texture size multiplier, "supersampling" mode.
