USB Null Modem cable.
I want to transfer files from my Windows 7 laptop to an A2000. I know there is a lot of documentation about how to do this but does anyone know if it will work with a USB null modem cable such as this :

Yes, it should work, but the moulded cable does not have Pin 6 and Pin 1 joined at each end like the one recommended:

So effectively, this is merely a USB to serial adaptor with a null modem cable (although you will need to test the pins to verify the relevant outputs as needed)? Never really thought about using my existing USB-to-serial adaptor but a mini project looks underway...

iirc, some cheap usb<->rs232 adapters don't have rts/cts.
so, in case it doesn't work try turning it off in software. |
